The University of New York in Prague offers American and European bachelor’s degrees in Business Administration, with the unique opportunity to receive dual degrees from the State University of New York, Empire State College, and a Czech-accredited UNYP degree (bakalář, Bc.). All UNYP programs are taught entirely in English.

Whether you study for a European, American or dual degree, all UNYP bachelor’s business degree programs offer:

UNYP Bachelor of IT Management graduates will gain:

  • An understanding of the mechanisms in an organization and/or enterprise including management, finance, aspects of law, sales and marketing, and human resource management;
  • Development of key business and management skills;
  • An understanding of IT architectures and the issues, concerns and strategies related to their deployment;
  • Knowledge of the processes involved in software programming and the elements involved in software development and testing to ensure its successful deployment;
  • The ability to prepare, present and support an IT projects in front of a critical audience;
  • Complementary coursework that strengthens, enhances and expands on core business learning;
  • Elective courses that allow students to deepen their interests in a variety of subject areas such as integrated marketing communications, mass media, international relations, economics, finance and accounting, literature, and psychology;
  • The ability to think theoretically and analytically about contemporary issues in the global economy;
  • Improved oral and written communication skills in English;
  • Proficiency in using software applications and information technology for research;
  • The ability to work collaboratively in teams and in a multicultural setting;

Our approach places a great deal of emphasis on international aspects of commerce, which we believe are particularly critical in today’s business environment. With our multinational faculty and student body, UNYP is in an especially strong position to provide this valuable international perspective. Unique to our program is the interactive and dynamic teaching style of our faculty. We recruit our professors from the EU and the USA, and most of them hold advanced degrees and professional experience in their fields of teaching.

Literature is one of the primary creative acts of humankind, and the study of literature not only exercises our skills of interpretation and critical thinking, but also gives us access to the history and ideas that have shaped our world.
 
Take this unique opportunity to study in Central Europe with the University of New York in Prague’s talented, international English language and literature instructors. The Czech Republic’s literary history spans languages, genres, and centuries, and includes such notables as Karel Čapek, Franz Kafka, Milan Kundera, and Bohumil Hrabal. Appropriately, the program includes a significant emphasis on comparative world literatures; literature in English from outside the major centers of literary production; and non-canonical literature.
